Sensible to Art Printmaking
Light, Matter and Memory in Art Printmaking Processes

Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) organised by the Academy of Bari in the framework of Erasmus+.

3-7 June 2025
Ex Convento Santa Chiara
Mola di Bari

This workshop develops on the triad of meanings for the term ‘Sensible’, evoking first of all sensitivity to the environment and climate change through the practice of sustainable techniques, then involving the dimension of emotional and artistic sensitivity, and finally the material dimension of photosensitive paper, the heart of the printing processes explored in the training programme. Through an itinerary combining history, technique and creativity, participants will be guided to discover the expressive potential of materials and printing methods, re-evaluating the intensity and slowness of the artistic gesture in its relationship with light and chemistry.

The workshop is led by Vincenzo Caniparoli, an enthusiast of photographic chemistry, from 2011 he deals with alternative processes and Historical photographic techniques.
